"DOMUS IANII" APARTMENT
“Domus Ianii”, Latin for “House of Janus”, the God whose traces echo throughout the history of the area, is situated in the old centre of Paciano. The building dates back to the fourteenth century and has been completely restored and brought into line with all current housing legislation. A characteristic and pleasing aesthetic has been achieved through the harmonious combination of the latest building techniques with traditional construction methods. This combination allows complete and guaranteed structural soundness with an optimum use of space. Considering the bright future awaiting the village, the restoration merited an updating of the highest quality. To this end, modern techniques and solutions have been adopted to make the spaces as comfortable as possible. Each apartment has a video entry phone, terrestrial and satellite television connections, autonomous central heating, acoustic and thermal insulation, fireplaces built in the traditional local style, period ceilings with tiles and waxed wooden beams. All the pavements and stairs are in hand-made cotto treated with hot wax. The apartment is equipped with gas detectors, emergency lighting, and fitted out in wood and iron according to the traditional local style. All this and more make the building a pleasure to live in.
As you enter the foyer, there is a wide living room all equipped with a nice fireplace. On the bottom of this, you can see an hide zone with a sofa bed for two people, armoire and television. On the right there is the kitchen, well equipped with all you can need...oven, fires and a washingmachine. The apartment has two bathrooms and a bedroom with a double bed.
The apartment Domus Ianii fits 2/4 persons but there is also another sofa bed in the living room. Sheets and towels are changed every saturday. Servant, washing and ironing services on demand.
The price for a week (7 nights) is 350 Euros in June and September, 400 Euros in July and August and 300 Euros the rest of the year.
A 25% deposit is requested in advance. If you cancel the booking after 5 days the deposit will be keepd. You can pay by a credit transfer or by cash at the arrival. 10 Euros deposit for the keys that will be returned the day of the leaving.
